Review of the Gaia Oracle

I am reviewing another of Toni Carmine Salerno’s excellent decks.

This deck has always spoken to me as I do adore the art on the Universal Wisdom and it is quite an easy deck to read from, I am not going to lie as there was a couple of cards which spoke out to me as I was admiring the art to this deck.

This is a lovely picture of Shri Ganesha, an idol of whom sits beside my desktop computer.  This also has significance to me as well as the direct of Ganesha’s trunk is the way my statues is also.

  • The deck is lovely art to look at.
  • There is an affirmation which you integrate in the readings.

  • Card stock is like the 2nd edition oracle of the Dragonfae and the Oracle of the mermaids – thinner than their previous items.
  • Some of the deck art has been seen before which is a bit of a shame for such a lovely deck.

I love this deck, and I may get the Magdalene deck, so many oracles still to get and so many decks tickle my fancy.

Review of Oracle of the dragonfae (Both Editions)

I have managed to get a version of this wonderful deck.

The original version of this deck.

I have been hunting to get hold of this wonderful deck.  There is a newer version of this deck which looks like this:

New oracle of the dragonfae

As you can see, there are a few cards and the whole design of this deck has changed.  I ordered a deck from the Book Depository and I got this deck which I am not happy about, not to fear I purchased a copy of the original deck from Australia.

Back to the card artwork of the revised edition, I had (I gifted this edition to a friend), there is an artist called Jimmy Menton, who has done the artwork for the Goddess & Sirens and the Gods & Titans decks respectively.  I know a lot of people love his artwork and I can see where this love is coming from, but, I am sorry to say that his art does not bode well with me as I feel he has taken the energies from the uniqueness of the originals and the cards just grind with me now.

Enough of my review of the revised edition, but you got a two for one reading from me of this oracle.  Back to the original and best.

This is the back of the original deck.  I just love the uniqueness of this as it sticks out and together with the backs of the Wild Wisdom of the Faery oracle, they both stand out.

The original vs new deck

The cards are of a nice thick stock and it appeals to me and the artwork of the deck just fits the cards to me, the newer deck, looking through the deck for the new version the energy is utterly vacant and the artwork just makes you think bleurgh, I didn’t even bother doing a reading with the deck.

  • The artwork is perfect for the deck.
  • The cardstock is of excellent thick quality, which will last.
  • Accurate readings, and it gives you a little task as well to connect to the energy of that particular Dragonfae.

  • The new version of the deck is not a deck I would recommend buying, as there is a lot of people complaining about the energies of the deck and art.
  • Unable to give readings due to the wonderful art, I do love this deck lots.

For people who are wanting to purchase the deck, I would not bother with the newer version as it is inferior in both the quality and energy of the deck and the new art makes the deck “vacant”.

I am so so glad I managed to get the 1st version of the deck.

Review of the Journey Oracle

Aloha everyone!

This is a review of the rather excellent oracle by Adrienne Trafford.

Journey oracle

This box it is in is a lovely hinged box with ribbon and it is like shut and held shut.  Unusual but lovely touch.

Onto the cards, they are of an excellent card stock and the cards are of decent sizing also.  I LOVE the artwork off this deck.

Love the steampunk effect of the card as it is a lady who looks half human and half steampunk borg.

Queen of Hearts

I am drawn to this card a lot myself as the card is so pretty!

  • Sturdy card.
  • Beautiful artwork.
  • Readings with the cards have been accurate and have shocked people.

  • Unable to read as I am busy gazing at the artwork.

This deck all in all have exceeded my expectations of it.  The artwork is wonderful.  The cardstock is nice and strong.  And, finally, the most important aspect of the cards is the readings.  They’re been accurate and been amazing.

I adore this deck.

Love and hugs.

Review of the Kalachakra Oracle

Namaste all

Here is a review of the Kalachakra oracle by Lo Scarabeo.

The deck is quite small and has 32 cards in the deck.  A couple of examples of the cards.

And there is also Alokes

As you can see from the cards it is a VERY small cards deck, you can read both upright and reversed with the deck.

  • It is interesting to see a deck with other deities than the normal fairies, angels etc.
  • The artwork in the cards is lovely and is what attracted me to the oracle, as it is a big out of the norm.

  • Cards are perhaps too small for some people to shuffle.
  • Card quality is as a typical Llewellyn deck, so it is not thick.
  • Card meanings in the book is wayyyyyy to short to give a professional reading with as you are learning the deck.

I wanted to get this deck as I have been drawn to it, I love the artwork of the deck and I feel it does have purpose, I am sad in the lacking of the information for the interpretations to get to know the card.  Short and sweet, so I would advise to use this deck with another for readings as the energy seems to work a LOT better that way.

I have a whole heap of oracle cards coming in so it will be thick and fast.

Love and hugs

Review of Universal Wisdom Deck

After owning a good number of Blue Angel decks, I thought it was time for another purchase, this time I would get Universal Wisdom by Toni Carmine Solerno.

I was humming and haying with purchasing this deck.  I just bit the bullet and bought the deck.

Well I am happy with my purchase and some of the deck cards are amazing.

This card is adorable and I love the imagery of this card.

Unlike most decks, there are some cards in this deck which are longways rather than straight up and down, but there is a beautiful one way butterfly on the back of the cards which you can use for reference to pack the deck.

  • These cards are VERY simple to read on.
  • Accurate.
  • Lovely artwork.

  • A good few of the cards have artwork with naked women.

I believe from what I have heard, a lot of Toni’s decks have nudity in them, so if you are selective of nudity, I would suggest to not use this deck for the sheer number of nudity in the cards.

If you don’t mind a bit of flesh in your cards, then this is the deck for you.  A lovely deck, so much so that I have the Gaia deck by the same artist on its way to me.  So looking forward to seeing both cards.

There will be a lapse in the reviews as I am waiting for a haul of decks to come in.

Until next time

Review of Woodland Wisdom Oracle Cards

This is  a review of the deck by Rev. Frances Munro.

Woodland Wisdom oracle

I was attracted to this deck initially as, yes, they have fairies in them and the art to them is excellent, but as I live on what was a wood, this is applicable for my energy.

This deck is an usual deck as you have your working cards and your power cards.

Lily Fairy

This is a “normal” card of this deck.

Fairy Princess of Summer Flowers

This is an example of the “power” card.  This card is used as a back up to the main deck and offers additional information in the reading.  This card is pulled after the working card has been drawn.

  • Artwork is wonderful.
  • Cards are accurate.
  • Wonderful to see something different in a deck.

  • Can be a bit problematic wondering were to put the power (gold) card in a relatively large spread.
  • May miss doing the reading as I am admiring the wonderful artwork.

I resonate with this deck so much as I live on “woodland” and I love fairies – as if you didn’t know.

I want to now get the Celtic Ogham deck by the same artist as this deck as it is a pleasure to look at his artwork.  Plus I find Oghams and Runes appealing to me somehow.  A result of living what used to be woodlands?

I hope you find this review interesting and the cards are cheaper than your average oracle, so what’s stopping you purchasing this wonderful deck.

Until next time.

Review of Wild Wisdom of the Faery Oracle

Now it is time for a review of the first Lucy Cavendish oracle I purchased.

Wild wisdom of the faery

The guidebook is like a proper book in this deck, it is amazing!

This is 1st all card artwork of the collaboration between Lucy Cavendish and the amazing artist Selina Fenech, (pronounced Fenek).  This amazing duo have recently just released another deck called Oracle of the Mermaids.  Which I am currently awaiting receipt of.

I loved this deck the moment I seen it and it is quite a big box, compared to the other LC decks, and the cards are in a little dip underneath the book.  Which is an utterly fantastic and informative read.  A couple of the cards are as shown below:

Follow Me

This card is also the cover of the deck and is amazing.

This card is the same design of the wallpaper currently on my laptop at the moment.

The card deck can be read upright and reversed,  if you are a seasoned Tarot reader, that will be no issue for you.  There is something also which is a bit of an amazing touch to this stunning deck, and that is what is on the back of the deck and thanks to Kate –  The Daily Tarot Girl’s blog for having a picture showing this amazing and quite simply put sweet little detail on the back of the cards.

That is a Faery pentagram on the back of the deck.

That is a Faery pentagram on the back of the deck.

As I mentioned, that is such an amazing detail to this already amazing deck.

  • The readings are accurate.
  • The fact there are upright and reversed readings to this deck makes it feel almost like a tarot deck.  A nice little go between deck as not a lot of oracle decks I know of have this!.
  • The artwork is fantastic and brings out the energy of this amazing deck.

  • When you first purchase this deck as new, you will find the cards are stuck together.  To unstuck the cards, press the middle of the cards and you hear like a strange noise like ripping (it is OK!) and that is the cards separating out.
  • The design of the box and size of the guidebook.  I know many may have this with the deck.  There could be a chance that the way the box closes could occidentally harm the guidebook by cutting into it.

As I said, that last con has me a bit concerned for the longevity of this amazing and quite simple beautiful deck.

Can I say a BIGGGGGG thank you to Lucy and Selina for this breathtaking deck.  I felt guided to purchase this stunner of a deck and I am glad to get it.  I would also love this to be part of EVERY fairy lovers oracle collection.

Two more Lucy Cavendish decks to review once I get them

Love and blessings
