Chakras and Colour Healing – Spiritual Chakras.

In the last blog post it was all about the 7 main eastern chakras.  This blog is about the lesser known but equally as important spiritual chakras.

There is where the different colours come into play.  Unfortunately with the mass appeal with the normal 7 chakra eastern system, all the information which will be in this blog will be from the book, “Take charge of your life” by the much loved and informative author Patricia Diane Cota-Robles.

pattiAs taken from:

This system has also the 7 rays, but it is slightly different.  The different colours of the rays are as follows:

  • 1st ray – Blue
  • 2nd ray – yellow
  • 3rd ray – pink
  • 4th ray – crystal white
  • 5th ray – green
  • 6th ray – gold and ruby
  • 7th – violet

So we know from the above that the rays have a certain property of attribute associated with them.  In the other chakra post, I mentioned about the different colours and something the shading within the colours,  being associated with the  wavelength the person is emitting at.

A point which I feel needs to addressed is the fact the locations of the spiritual chakras at alternative locations of the eastern chakras which we all know and love.  However, there are a few spiritual chakras which come through the same locations as the eastern chakras.   PLEASE PLEASE be aware of this when working with the energies of the 2 chakra systems.

Interestingly, in this aspect, the spiritual chakras can also vary in their shades as well and further information will be posted below.

The 1st Ray

This ray is a blue which ranges from vivid sapphire blues to soft powder blues.  Qualities of this ray are:

God’s Will

Illuminated Faith

This ray is located at the throat chakra (the same location as in the eastern chakras),  People who are attuned to this ray a “First Ray Person.”

People who serve this ray to be found in government leaders, rulers and executives.  In the undeveloped person, they are found to have aggressive human will and also to be dominant.

cit_parcel_exThe 2nd Ray

This ray is known as the sunshine yellow ray.  The qualities of this ray are:

Mind Force

This chakra is located at the crown chakra and if you are attuned to this ray, you are “Second Ray Person.”

If you are attuned to this ray, you will be most likely a teacher or student.  if you are not attuned to this ray, you will manifest accretion of world knowledge and intellectual arrogance.

The 3rd Ray

This ray is pink and the colours range from the palest pink to the deepest rose.  The qualities of this ray are:

Divine Love

The chakra is located at the heart chakra.  If you are attuned to this ray, you are a “Third Ray Person.”

The people who are developed in this ray are to be found in occupations such as peacemakers, humanitarians  and arbitrators.  In a less developed person, it manifests as lust, licentiousness, (lacking moral discipline in sexual affairs) and selfish people.

8746525-white-crystal-on-black-backgroundThe 4th Ray

The ray is a crystal white colour.  The ray has qualities of:

Artistic Development

This ray is located at the root chakra at the base of the spine.  People who are particularly attuned to this ray are known as  “Fourth Ray people.”

People who serve this ray tend to be found as artists and musicians.  In a developed person, this ray manifests as artistic development, in an undeveloped person, it manifests as bohemianism or unconventional behaviour.  Particular details in the extremes of this ray are to be located in the music world in particular.

dep_2440806-Dark-green-gemstone-isolated-on-whiteThe 5th Ray

The 5th ray is green and comes in shades from deep cypress/emerald to pastel mints or sea breeze.  This ray’s qualities are:

Inner Vision

Scientific Development.

This ray is located at the 3rd eye chakra.  People who resonate strongly with this ray are said to be “Fifth Ray People.”

People who resonate with this ray are inventors, scientists and doctors.  When not resonating with this ray, the person is likely to manifest atheist tendencies and also agnostic tendencies.

ruby red colourThe 6th Ray

This ray is ruby gold and the shades range from deep ruby to a pale gold, however, any combination of these two colours can occur, which include orange or peach.  The ray has qualities of:

Devotional Worship

The ray is located at the Solar  Plexus Chakra.  If one is particularity attuned to this ray, you are said to be a “Sixth Ray person.”

Those who serve this ray are tend to be spiritual healers, priests, ministers, rabbis and healers.  When the person is developed in this ray, the show devotional worship, in the undeveloped people it is religious fanaticism and zealous inclinations.

violet chakraThe 7th Ray

This ray is violet and the shades range from a deep royal purple to pale lavender.  This ray has the qualities of:

Ordered Service

This ray is located in the mid- abdomen.  If one is particularly attuned to this ray, they are a “Seventh Ray person”.

Those who serve this ray tend to be found in vocations such as adepts, diplomats, humanitarians and mystics.  When the person is developed with ray, they tend to manifest as ordered service, culture and spiritual teachers.  However, if the person is undeveloped, they become prejudice, snobs and prudish.

And concludes about the 7 spiritual chakras, I know it will be confusing for a start until you get to know them.

Kind regards

Homeopathy DOES conform to applied science

Homeopathic pustules which are taken internally.

This blog is about homeopathy, a lot of people love it and a lot of people don’t like, whatever your thoughts, this I hope to be an interesting log to read.  So kick off your shoes, put on the kettle for a cuppa and settle down into reading this blog as it is gonna be a big one.

And now we shall begin!

Homeopathy works on the aspect of “energy medicine” or as most holistic healers know it as vibrational medicine and below is a diagram of the different energy levels of the body.

A further explanation of the etheric bodies are listed below: -The Seven Aura Layers 1. The Etheric Layer or Etheric Body The etheric layer is the first layer of the aura and spans ½ inch to 2 inches from the surface of the skin, outlining the body. This field of energy connects primarily with the first chakra, our organs, glands and meridians, and relates to the condition and health of the physical body. 2. The Emotional Layer or Emotional Body The second aura layer is called the Emotional Layer and extends two to four inches away from the physical body encircling it in the shape of an oval. This layer is primarily connected to the second chakra, feelings, emotions and experience. It is constantly in a state of change, reflective of our current mood. This layer also stores unsettled emotions such as fear, resentment, and loneliness. The energies present in the second aura layer will communicate with the first layer, and then process this information into the physical body. Physical tension, muscle cramps and upset stomach could be a result of the etheric (first) layer being bombarded by emotional pain residing in the second aura layer. 3. The Mental Layer or Mental Body The third aura layer is the Mental Layer. Its extension is four to eight inches from the physical body. This layer is connected to the third chakra, our consciousness, ideas, logical processes, belief systems and intellect. In this layer, thoughts and ideas are rationalized and validated. Mental health and mental issues present themselves in this aura layer. 4. The Astral Bridge Layer, Astral Body, or Bridge Layer The fourth layer of the aura is referred to in short as either the Astral Layer or Bridge Layer. It is eight to twelve inches away from the physical body and connects to the fourth chakra, our sense of love, well-being, expansion and life-balance. Where the first three layers of the aura reflect our physical nature and presence, the fourth layer is the window to our spiritual nature, separating the first three layers from the outer three aura layers. 5. The Etheric Template Layer The fifth aura layer is the Etheric Template Layer. It is one to two feet away from the physical body. It connects with the fifth chakra, sound, vibration, communication and creativity. Primarily this layer of the aura serves as a carbon copy of the physical body on the spiritual plane. The etheric template layer is the seat of our higher consciousness and higher will. Vibrations from the physical plane and the spiritual plane communicate here, thus manifesting thoughts into substance, and creating paths for all possibilities. 6. The Celestial Layer or Celestial Body The sixth aura layer is called the Celestial Layer. It extends two to three feet away from the body and reflects our subconscious mind. It is where the physical mind comes to connection with the spiritual mind through meditation and devotional practices. It is connected with the sixth chakra, memories, dreams, spiritual awareness, intuitive knowledge, trust, honesty, and unconditional love. The Celestial Layer holds our experiences of having a connection to something greater than ourselves. 7. The Ketheric Template Layer or Causal Layer The seventh aura layer is known as the Ketheric Template Layer or Causal Layer. It is connected to the seventh chakra, all knowledge and all possibilities. This layer protects and holds all other aura layers together, and contains the blueprint of our spiritual path, reflecting all of the soul’s experiences and events through time. The Ketheric Layer is the link to “God”, “Creator”, “Source”, or “All That Is” within each individual, and extends three to five feet away from the physical body, depending on our spiritual state. It is these different energy levels of the body that can get disrupted with pollution, illness, EM (electromagnetic – TVs, Computers) etc.  The body will eventually come down with a problem like achy joints, colds, anxiety attacks.  In vibrational medicine, there will often be holes in the “aura”. Now back to the cool bit, the science.  Believe it or not, scientists have believed that our world is made up of energy and different waveforms which encompass most states of matter, and, some scientists believe that the universe is make of intertwining energy patterns. You maybe surprised to know that the science has evidence on the body’s energy fields and they come from a scientist called Dr Saxton Burr.

He wrote a book, “The electrical patterns of life “ which is his measurements and theory on “L fields” or fields of life.  This is a dynamic energy present in all living matter which can also account for colour healing to be use.  (More on the science of colour healing in another blog).

Resonance  What is that?

As we are talking about energy fields, resonance is that when one object or entity vibrating at a particular frequency comes into the proximity of another whose fundamental (energetic) frequency is in the same waveband, the latter will start to resonate in sympathy with the former.

Taken from “Principles of vibrational healing” by Clare G. Harvey and Amanda Cochrane.

Resonance to the organic chemists amongst us would know this through using NMR instrumentation.  We know when the compound is exposed to a magnetic field from the magnet, the electrons are pulled around and therefore that gives us the spectrogram.  That shows us via the chemical shift that there is molecules resonating at a certain frequency and the more acidic or electron withdrawing any groups on the compound, the higher up they are to be found.

In science and in vibrational healing, the same principle of  detection within the structures are to be found.

Finally, we can get to the interesting bit of pulling it altogether to explain how it works and it therefore proves that the natural medicines are not to be sniffed it.

There has been a recent blog which goes on about the vibration aspect of the homeopathy, but there is a much missed out theory in homeopathy and this “nanoscience” as shown in this blog by Janey Goddard.

The official definition of Nanoscience is thus:

It is widely accepted that although the prefix nano specifically refers to 10-9 units, in the context of nanoscience the units should only be those of dimensions, rather than of any other unit of scientific measurement, such as for time, energy or power.

Moreover, it is unrealistic, for practical purposes, to consider the prefix ‘nano-’ to solely and precisely refer to 10-9 metres, just as it is not considered that ‘micro-’ specifically and solely concerns something with a dimension of precisely 10-6 metres. It is further widely agreed that one of the characteristics that confers special properties to products of nanotechnologies is the large surface area to volume ratio that is encountered at very small dimensions and that those of the order of 100 nm and below are most likely to be associated with such properties.

Taken from Scientific committee on Emerging and Newly Identified Health Risks paper on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.

In reality, will the rationale be that the mechanism of homeopathy lies in the rationale of nanotechnology having its reactive areas on the outside of the molecule as opposed to the inner molecule as the reactive area is now on the outside and is more dense.  This would almost make it more reactive.  Sadly as it is a relatively new field, there is much studies needed to be carried out on it.

To finish up this blog, the combination of the vibrations and the smallest doses which can create an effect on the system to get vibrations into alignment etc, so, you can really say that it is a sum of a few things.

I hope you enjoy reading the blog and if there are more questions, put them in the comments section.

The electronics of vibrational medicine

Namaste all

In the past blogs, I have been speaking about chakras and how they are used in medicine.  This blog shall be about the applications which links to the now published blog on homeopathy.

In the first chakra blog I mentioned about the electronics of the colours and shown you this wheel, or one similar –

λ absorbed versus color observed
400 nm Violet absorbed, Green-yellow observed (λ 560 nm)
450 nm Blue absorbed, Yellow observed (λ 600 nm)
490 nm Blue-green absorbed, Red observed (λ 620 nm)
570 nm Yellow-green absorbed, Violet observed (λ 410 nm)
580 nm Yellow absorbed, Dark blue observed (λ 430 nm)
600 nm Orange absorbed, Blue observed (λ 450 nm)
650 nm Red absorbed, Green observed (λ 520 nm)

What do we mean by electronics?

In electromagnetism of light, white light gets split into the wavelengths as shown above.

Taken from:

As we can see, the light splits into the different wavelengths, which if we convert into the human body’s auric fields, we can envision the colours being the different electronic frequencies the nerves are working at.

Vibrational healing can be defined as the following, taken from, “Thorson’s Principles of Vibrational Healing, by Clare G. Harvey and Amanda Cochrane.”

Vibrational healing is based on the notion that the body emits energies or wave forms in a certain frequency range.  This harmonious interplay of these frequencies creates patterns or fields of energy that are unique to each person:  each individual has their own vibrational blueprint.

When there is issues in the human psyche, there is a noticeable change to the emotion of the person during this time.  The emotions are causing the blueprint to alter in the frequency in which it is working.  So the knock on effect is that the person feels negative emotions like crying, depression etc or they often have a disease (“dis – ease”) to people.

However, these issues can also come via outside influences like pollution from cars and household chemicals, EM or electromagnetic pollution – computers, flourescent lighting, as well as for medical or industry related pollutants like industrial chemicals like IMS (industrial Methylated Spirits), DCM (Dichloromethane), Chloroform etc.  I would not expect a house to have solvents like chloroform etc.  And a big one and perhaps topical due to the recent Fukushima Daiichi incident in Japan is electromagnetic radiation or ionising radiation to give it the proper title.

The best thing about the pollution issues is that it can be helped via the use of these vibrational essences.  The mechanism of use will be explained further in the blog post.

How to get the energetic body / bodies back on an even keel.

As we found out on the posts above, the body of a person has their own energetic blueprint.  The method of vibrational alignment can come via crystals, light, sound – a fascinating topic for further investigation and well-known about in Eastern philosophies, and various flower essences to name a few.

Resonance is another “buzz word” which is relating to this very important as it is a method of how a spirit entity or an object comes into your consciousness and it is of your own “wavelength”.  You will vibrate in response to the entity / object which is now in the consciousness of the person.

In the principle of vibrational healing and the use of resonance, the crystal or whatever is being used, the vibrations from that will begin to say to your body, “you are in need of some help, well, here it is.  This may feel uncomfortable.”  In which they are interacting with the blueprint and bringing it back to what it was before the ‘assault.’  The best way to think of it is the recharging of a fuel cell or battery after it has been flooded or shortened using the right energy / frequency for the battery.

The wavelengths of light and the aura colours – clues on how the body works?

As explained before, white light can be split through a prism and have its own individual colours and we have seen that the electronic blueprint of the body can realign itself.  So how does it go together? read further and you will be educated and amazing and slightly, “they should have told us at school this!.”

The Aura

Taken from:

The pictures are showing the colours of that person’s electronic frequency at that given and if you scroll to the top of the blog post, the colours relate to a given light frequency, like green is about 530 nm (nanometres) and red is about 680 nm.  How about we relate this to how the nerves work? Has anyone asked these people on how they feel?  If we know a wavelength of a person, what about its psychical manifestations?

An excellent example of seeing this in operation in real life is the use of crystal essences and the actual crystals themselves.  Using the crystals themselves would be an interesting one to look at as they are as shown below:

Taken from:

Even as they have other essences, there seems to be a correlation between the colour (wavelength) and the chakra.  Is there information about the energy in the activation of these chakras.  For the Solar Plexus chakra ( a yellow one in colour), its wavelength is about 570 nm, it would appear to spin at around that speed.  Is there any studies on how fast the chakras actually do spin – both Eastern and spiritual chakras?

This appears to be the nitty-gritty of the whole blog, the crystal’s colour and chakra association.

An Amethyst crystal, taken from – Copyright of Gemstone Universe.

As we can see, the crystal is a purple colour – which is at the wavelength of 410 nm.  The colour purple is associated with the 3rd eye chakra, violet is the crown chakra and has more blue in it, (so it’s wavelength would be closer to the 480 nm of blue.

The chart below is taken from the same book as mentioned above and it is going through some gemstones, their colours and properties.

Gemstone properties and effects on the body

150_moonstone-healing-crystal_2This stone works on the heart and the solar plexus chakras.  It is a stone which works on the emotional & astral bodies.  Spiritually, this is the lunar stone and therefore it works on understanding your destiny, enhances intuition – (what lunar energies are famous for) and finally for new beginnings.  It is used for gynecological issues which includes pregnancy, childbirth, menopause and fertility problems – (lunar energies are the embodiment of the feminine) and also for emotional stress, insomnia, digestive issues and intestinal issues, examples are ulcers and oedema (fluid retention).

Clear / Ice Quartz

This stone works on all the chakras.  It dissipates negative emotions from the etheric and emotional bodies.  This stone is excellent for receiving, storing and transmitting energy, it can also amplifies thoughts, used for affirmations and work involved in programming, meditations and finally communication ‘within ourselves’.  It is a good stone to used for fevers, blood problems and kidney disease.

Rose Quartz

This stone is famous for its effects on  the heart chakra.  It works on the emotional, astral and mental bodies.  Know widely as “the stone of love”, it makes you receptive and attuned to spiritual love, it heals wounds from childhood and is also for confidence and creativity.  It is used for circulation and issues of the heart as well as the kidneys (which affects blood pressure), and male fertility issues.

This isn’t a crystal like gold, but, it does have an effect on the electromagnetic bodies.  It has an effect on all the chakras.  Good for the astral and etheric bodies, (it is linked with lunar energies).  It is used for a soul mirror, encourages the purpose to life and it enhances the lunar energies in general.  It helps in brain ailments like autism, dyslexia, epilepsy, coordination, visual problems are helps to balance the right and right hemispheres of the brain.

And finally in this list, which is by no means exhaustive.

This stone is also for all chakras too.  This is an unusual stone as it not only works on all the subtle bodies of a perhaps it can also strengthen the bodies’ meridians.  This stone is a master healer, can help in spiritual attunement and can protect against negativity and radiation.  This stone is excellent for clearing congestion & mucous, anorexia, bulimia, enhances tissue regeneration and nutrient absorption.

What is all this about spin you keep talking about?

As we are talking about crystals, there is some in chemistry known as the “Crystal Field Stabilisation Energy”, and can be defined by the following:

The crystal field stabilization energy (CFSE) is the stability that results from placing a transition metal ion in the crystal field generated by a set of ligands. It arises due to the fact that when the d-orbitals are split in a ligand field (as described above), some of them become lower in energy than before with respect to a spherical field known as the barycenter in which all five d-orbitals are degenerate. For example, in an octahedral case, the t2g set becomes lower in energy than the orbitals in the barycenter. As a result of this, if there are any electrons occupying these orbitals, the metal ion is more stable in the ligand field relative to the barycenter by an amount known as the CFSE. Conversely, the eg orbitals (in the octahedral case) are higher in energy than in the barycenter, so putting electrons in these reduces the amount of CFSE.

Taken from Wikipedia as there does not seem to have a clear enough explanation on the website.  (Although, anyone else who does have a good one from a chemistry lecture course or website, use the comment box below.)

Also there are CFSE for tetrahedron, but, they are switched the other way, when we go onto the spin diagrams, as will be in the next paragraph.

High Spin / Low Spin?

To finish off this blog on the electronics of vibrational healing, there is much more techniques to be used for it, but, the crystals are of particular importance as they directly interact and we can see the structure of the crystal (s).  Know the composition of the crystal will help in explaining the following to you.

High Spin

Not all the energy levels are filled, in fact, there are some paired electrons in the levels as shown above.  This brings about this being referred to as a diamagnetic compound.  The crystal is having an affect that is had a magnetic effect which is opposite to the direction it is coming from, as we can see in the middle diagram below.

diamagnetic mats

There is also a 3rd main one called Ferromagnetic, although not seen in the CFSE, it is unique only to substances known to contain Iron – hence the “Ferro” in the name.  I know there are crystals like Pyrite which are composed of Crystals.

A sample of Iron Pyrite. Although it can be found in cube like form.

The way the ferromagnetic substances react to magnet is as shown below:

How cool is that?

Issues with this method of understanding the crystal field theory

Sadly, there are issues with this method of calculating, although very good.  The issues lie in negative ions beside positive ions – an example of thus is chloride which is also known as an anion, negative ions are also termed cations!.  If the charge of the negative ion is strong enough, it can not be deemed as a single charge.

The best method is perhaps the ionic approach when you are dealing with very cationic and anionic materials.  This is however referred to in the Ligand Field Theory, if you are guided towards looking at this, you can use your generic search engines etc for learning more about it.

So when you are next thinking about colours and crystals, there is a science behind them and it seems to be largely untapped into.

I hope you enjoyed reading this long blog, I hope you find it as fascinating as I wrote it.

Chakras and Colour Healing

Chakras are very very important in eastern medicine practices.  The below diagram is about where the chakras are in the body.

Taken from

Root Chakra

Known as Muladhara in India.  Psychologically influences are:  Earth connection, survival and releasing of emotional tension.  If this chakra is imbalanced would manifest as being prone to accidents, dependency, identity crisis and having a weak ego.  The physical associations of this chakra is ~ Large intestine, legs, feet, skeletal structure.  If this chakra is imbalanced, it manifests as obesity, constipation, haemorrhoids, sciatica, arthritis, knee problems and poor circulation in legs and extremities.

Sacral Chakra

Indian name is Swadhisthana.  Physical attributes of this chakra ~  Male and female sexual organs, bladder and circulation.  Imbalances would manifest as lower back issues, reproductive system issues, premenstrual issues (PMS) and urinary problems.  Psychological manifestations are:  sexuality and creativity.  An Imbalance of this chakra manifests weak  personality, depression, hysteria and unable to have sexual intimacy.

Solar Plexus Chakra

Indian name is Manipura.  Physical attributes of the chakra are ~ the adrenal glands, solar plexus, spleen, pancreas and stomach.  An imbalance manifests are stomach issues, anorexia, diabetes and blood glucose, anaemia, allergies and obesity.  Psychological manifestations are ~ feeling empowered and in control.  When imbalanced it manifests as addiction and compulsiveness, excessive anger / anger, manic depression, sleep issues and psychosomatic conditions.

Heart Chakra

Indian name is Anahata.  Physical attributes of the chakra ~ Heart, thymus gland, immune system and lungs.  Imbalance  manifests as circulatory and respiratory issues, upper back ailments and childhood diseases.  Psychological manifestations are ~ understanding compassion and unconditional love.  Imbalance is linked to inner conflict, a tendency to self destruction, relationship issues, a feeling of being alienated and a feeling of loneliness.

Throat Chakra

Indian name is Vishuddha.  Physical manifestations of the chakra ~ thyroid and parathyroid, lymphatic system and immune system.  An imbalance manifests as teeth – ear – neck and shoulder problems, sore throats, bronchial problems and hearing and speech problems.  Psychological manifestations are : Trust, expressions, creativity and communication.  Imbalance is an inability to express oneself verbally, stuttering and a doubting to the sincerity of others.

3rd Eye Chakra

Indian name is Ajna.  Physical manifestations of the chakra ~ pituitary gland, left brain hemisphere and central nervous system.  Imbalance manifestations is linked to nervous upsets, eye and vision issues, headaches and sinusitis.  Psychological manifestations : Clarity and insight and an interest in spirituality.  Imbalance linked to confusion, poor memory, inability to focus, paranoia and feeling detached from reality.

Crown Chakra

Indian name is Sahasrara.  Physical manifestations of the chakra ~ pineal gland, right side hemisphere and ancient mammalian brain.  An imbalance is linked to migraine headaches, pituitary issues and epilepsy.  Psychological manifestations : intuition, to have an open mind and to have faith and connections to higher energies or realms.  An imbalance can manifest as feeling gullible, having nightmare, multiple personalities and being spiritually closed.

Colour Light Frequencies

Below is a chart which shows the different colours at their respective wavelengths in nanometres.

A colour wheel with the frequencies they are located at

In my Inorganic chemistry class we did about the absorbance and emittance of light, how we did it then was the colour absorbed is directly opposite from what colour is being emitted by the compound.  For example, if a compound was blue in colour (and Iron based compound) it would be absorbing orange light.  I won’t bore you with the crystal lattice calculations we performed, but it is safe to say that it can be calculated scientifically that the light can correlate to the electronic configuration of a compound.

However, that is no importance to the non chemists amongst us, but that little story has not left me from class.

Now to the history of the use of colour, Ancient Egyptians had halls of colour in their temples at Karnak and Thebes, they researched the influence of light and colour at the latter location.  In China, they use colour in Feng Sui and each Chinese dynasty had a specific colour allocated to them – The Sung dynasty had brown, the Ming dynasty had green and finally yellow was the colour for the Ching dynasty.

Chinese beliefs of ancient times had specific numbers for your date of birth which energise you and some which drain you.  When combined, the colours can enhance growth and some combinations can cause conflicts and negative emotional states.

Below is some colours and their meanings – maybe you can see a likeness to the chakra explanations:

White Technically not a colour but it has all colours mixed in equal proportions.  In the Western world it is a colour of purity and cleanliness.  In China and India, it is a colour of mourning.

Violet and Indigo  These are colours to do with spirituality, loyalty, love and generally all divine connectedness.  It has been said Leonardo di Vinci said the power of meditation could be enhanced tenfold under violet rays influencing via their passing through stained glass windows of a church.  When the hues of these colours are muted, they can help with treating headaches, neuroses and certain forms of dementia and schizophrenia.

Blue A colour linked with fidelity, caring and faith.  Lavender blue and cornflower blue are associated with spirituality, thoughtfulness, kindness and constancy.

Green A colour of love and a great stress reliever (which is one of this colours bad points!), also known as a colour of growth, tranquility and healing.  All those who talk to plants actually need not feel daft, as it is known that the green plants can actually an aid to healing troubled minds and to promote peace.  Green also is a good colour for thinking all things to do with the heart (more on how this is important in the spiritual chakras later on in this blog).  And when thought of, the colour can attract what we need to feel chilled and happy.

Yellow  A colour which those of us who are born under the star sign of Gemini know well, as it is the colour for mental energy, patience, tolerance and wisdom.  The other things that the colour yellow can influence on a person is that it can help expansion and can bring fulfillment.  Chinese people use this colour to repel evil spirits via charms being written on yellow paper.  In Japan this is the colour of the sun and is the Emperor’s colour.

Orange  The colour for joy, female sensuality and togetherness.

Pink A colour which is soothing, and reassures, also known as the colour of love and romance.  A good little thing to remember next time you feel angry – think pink and the anger will just leave you.

Red  A colour of passion and it can strongly stir happiness, life and courage.  It is a highly emotional and energetic colour, which means, if a person is over emotional or hyperactive leave this colour be!  In China red is a virtuous colour.

Leonardo di Vinci – a man of many talents

Science has shown us via studies that colour can influence mood, perceptions of temperature and time and concentration spans.  These studies have therefore allowing places like hospitals, offices, mental health establishments etc to promote a positive energy.

It has been found that red lights can stimulate circulation and increase blood pressure, blue light, has the antagonist effect.  An interesting fact is that if one is blinded, the effect can still be obtained, blind people can still ‘see’ colours and therefore the effect of colour isn’t just via sight.  It us via our response via the subtle bodies, chakras and auras.

The Luscher Colour Test

This is a test which can be carried out by medical doctors and psychiatrists since 1948 as a diagnostic tool.  It is carried out by asking test participants to arrange coloured cards in order of preference.  Their colour of choice reveals lots about their psyche / state of mind.  Greys and browns suggest that a person has the ability to see a task through to the end.  Yellow and orange both indicate that a person is happy and joyful, pink has a tendency to criticise oneself.  Although the method of how it is is not yet fully understood, the test is an invaluable indicator to stress and to catch disorders long before the physiological symptoms manifest.

The Subtle colours in the Chakras

There is also a much forgotten aspect of aura and chakra colours and that is the subtle tones of the chakras like a little bit of brown in a yellow chakra and so on, below is a list of these subtle colours in the chakras.

colour table firstcolour table secondcolour table thirdcolour table last

This in all is a rather new area for studying in a scientific depth, but as shown by combining the frequencies to the colours as mentioned earlier in this blog, the colours can be seen for a more scientific bias.

The future of holistic science just keeps going!!
